The Porsche Club of America (PCA) is the world’s largest car club, with 139 Regions throughout the United States in Canada. The Ozark Lakes Region PCA is composed of nearly 150 members residing in the Missouri Ozarks, including the cities of Springfield and Joplin Missouri. Ozark Lakes Region PCA members gather on a regular basis to enjoy the company of good friends and conversation, sharing a common interest in Porsche automobiles.
PCA Membership Benefits
PCA members enjoy a variety of membership benefits, including the award winning monthly PCA magazine, Porsche Panorama, which tells our stories and provides an insider view to everything Porsche. For a complete list of membership benefits, click here. To join PCA, click here.
Ozark Lakes Region PCA members also enjoy a substantial discount on parts and service at Porsche of Springfield, the local Porsche agency.
Ozark Lakes Region PCA members gather on a regular basis to share their passion for Porsche automobiles. Social activities include monthly dinner meetings, often involving fun drives to interesting restaurants. Weekend day trips might include tours of area wineries or other attractions within a day’s drive. Members frequently organize unplanned, impromptu, spur-of-the-moment activities, such as a trip to the shooting range, or a drive down a twisty highway. Whatever the activity, the common link is our passion for Porsches.
Many of our members enjoy participating in driving events. While the Ozark Lakes Region does not have a ‘home track’, members regularly participate in HPDE (high performance driver’s education) events at nearby road courses, including Hallett, Heartland Park, and Mid-America Motorplex. The PCA DE Program is designed so that participants can improve their driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of vehicle dynamics and driving safety. Participants will experience first-hand the capabilities of high performance automobiles in a controlled, closed-course environment and acquire skills that will enhance safer vehicle operation in all driving situations. The Ozark Lakes Region occasionally conducts autocrosses, depending on the availability of suitable parking lots. Autocross is a sport of trying to navigate your car through a defined course of pylons usually on a large parking lot, faster than your competition. Autocross courses are set up using soft orange traffic pylons which will not damage your car. Autocrosses are run at speeds usually between 20-65 MPH, usually in 2nd gear. Autocross is a "performance driving event" and a safe way to learn how to drive your car at its limit. Click here to learn more about auto crossing.
Technical sessions are occasionally held for members that enjoy working on their own cars. Our members routinely gather to assist each other with brake fluid flushes, brake pad swaps, and other basic general maintenance.
The National PCA staff organizes the annual Porsche Parade. Parade is the “big” Porsche Club event of the year: our annual national convention. Parade has a potpourri of activities and club members from all across North America come together for this once a year extravaganza to participate in a week of competitive events, to socialize and enjoy their cars, with seminars and tours adding to the event’s variety. For many club members, Parade is their big vacation for the year. It provides them with an opportunity to see new parts of the country as well as to visit with PCA friends that they only see once a year, at Parade!
